DUBAI – January – We are pleased to announce that we have joined the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists (ACSS), the only organization in the world that brings together sanctions compliance professionals.
Founded in 2018, ACSS offers its members high-quality education and various benefits. We are the first cryptocurrency exchange to formally join the association.
We will take advantage of the training material, complete databases and extensive networks of the ACSS to continue improving the skills and specialization of our team. All compliance professionals on the sanctions team, as well as Binance's special investigations, compliance operations , and anti-money laundering intelligence leaders, will be required to undergo training with the ACSS as part of the certification process.

Additionally, the ACSS will help ensure that the team stays up to date with sanctions edicts and understands the risks of non-compliance in different jurisdictions.

Over the past two years, regulatory compliance has been one of Binance's main goals. In 2022, our compliance team increased from 500 to 750 members. This is part of our continued efforts to strengthen our compliance capabilities. To this end, we have obtained regulatory licenses, registrations and approvals in a total of 14 jurisdictions to date, including France, Spain, Bahrain, Dubai and Australia.
